alpha-tec builds worlds largest facility for automated cleaning and painting of rotor blades
With a length of more than 60m and a height of 4.5m the blade of a wind mill bears some special challenges when it comes to automized processes.
7th axes with a length of 70m meters have to be placed with the same accuracy as all other components. 2k application technique, vision systems, sensor devices, industrial robots and a sophisticated cabine design are major parts of the total system.
Startup of this world wide unique design will be end of this year.
Another Cell for automated seam sealing and cosmetic sealing starts its operation
4 robots applicate seams inside the car body and on outer panels. Trunk and hood are handled by two overhead robots. The position of the car body is detected by a robot mounted 3D-Vision system.
Robotized lines for application of sprayable sound deadener startet "just in time"
Two lines of production with a total 10 robots on 7th axes were installed and programmed during weekends and night shifts.
Sound deadener is applied in the complete car body interior and replaces manual insertion and glueing of noise absorbing mats.
